Tara
Still one of my favourite portrait sessions, and perhaps the strongest photographs of a person I’ve made to date. Highly stylized and influenced by the Jennifer Lawrence for Dior campaigns of the period, the intention was to create something polished but not untouchable: flawless and hyperreal on the surface, while still allowing something quieter and more vulnerable to come through. Tara brought all of that to the camera. Beautiful, composed, occasionally enigmatic, and completely present. The result sits somewhere between portrait, fashion and something considerably more personal.
